Booking chiropractic care at Hope Health
You can make an appointment without needing a referral from a doctor. However, getting a referral from a GP may help with the costs of chiropractic care. Depending on your symptoms, your doctor may refer you to a chiropractor under the Enhanced Primary Care Program, which enables you to access Medicare rebates for chiropractic care.
You’ll receive a comprehensive chiropractic consultation along with personalised recommendations for treatment. If you’re curious about what happens at your first appointment, then visit our New Patients page.

What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a natural form of treatment that unblocks nerve signals travelling between your brain and your body. Chiropractic uses gentle adjustments to treat your bones, joints, muscles and ligaments.
Chiropractic trusts your body. We trust it to tell us what’s wrong and, once we’ve removed interferences, we trust it to put itself right. Your body has an incredible ability to adapt and recover. Our role is to work alongside, enabling natural healing to take place. No wonder so many educated, health-conscious people are making chiropractic part of their lifestyle.
Do chiropractors really help?
Yes, we do. We can help you prevent, manage or treat a number of conditions including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches or pain in your shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles or feet.
How does chiropractic care work?
When you think of a chiropractor, you might imagine someone manipulating your spine. That technique is called chiropractic adjustment. Your chiropractor uses their hands to apply force to your spine that moves a spinal segment towards its normal position and range of motion to improve your function and mobility.
Chiropractors use many other techniques to relieve pain and improve your mobility and function. Depending on your condition, we might use massage, acupuncture meridian therapy or specific exercises.
Chiropractic is part of a holistic approach to health. Every aspect of our lives is connected and influences other aspects. That’s why chiropractors may give advice on your diet and lifestyle. We may also recommend ergonomic changes to reduce your risk of further injury.
