What Is Applied Kinesiology?

 

Applied kinesiology is a method of diagnosis and treatment based on testing your muscle function. It’s used to diagnose and treat complications in your nervous system along with energy imbalances and nutritional deficiencies or overloads.

What Will Happen At My Appointment?

We begin by taking a detailed history, asking you questions about your health and why you’ve come to see us. Then we may test things like your blood pressure, skin sensitivity, balance and reflexes before observing your posture, gait and range of motion.

 

We test your muscle strength by putting pressure on your muscles to see if they lock or give way. Muscle testing is one part of a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation that enables us to determine the root cause of any weakness and prescribe the best treatment for you.

 

Applied kinesiology treatments include dietary and nutritional improvements, acupuncture meridian therapy, joint manipulation or realignment and deep massage.
